Oldie requiring help, N73 Web Browser

Hi I'm very much new to the mobile scene and I'm slightly confused regarding certain Issues. I have just bought a Brand new unlocked N73 (not yet received) which was obviously an Orange phone as it has orange branding all over it. I bought this for my sons birthday, he's been badgering me about this phone for months. We are all on Vodafone so I assumed that an unlocked N73 would be fine. However I have been reading further and have noticed that stuff like the web functions may not work. Is there anyway I can get around this if it proves to be the case?
Apparently and its not something I fully understand the Orange access point maybe locked (can anyone confirm this either way) even if the phone is unlocked meaning that you cannot set the internet supplier as vodafone, is this assumption correct? Is it possible to use the multimedia functions through the orange access points even if I have an vodafone sim? Basically I confused and slightly worried that the phone I bought will be of little use.

Any answer in oldie speak will be greatfully received

Cheers

If its unlocked you should be fine as far as I know. I can't confirm this 100% as I dont have aan Orange N73.
