I have been using one touch to try to connect to the internet via gprs/usb with no luck, the default settings for 3 uk and 3uk (eseries) both hang at the username/password. I have setup a manual connection using three.co.uk as the AP name with blank usename/password and still cannot connect.
Any ideas/solutions please. I am going back into hospital and need to use my phone as a modem for my laptop.
Ask 3 to give you the settings. I'm not sure about leaving the user name and password fields blank. These are requested by the access point.
i have the web 10 addon but they are telling me i need a 10 broadband addon to use it as a modem, what a load of bollocks i have web access on the phone and all i need is the AP settings to use the modem.
I only will use it aboujt once a month unless i am in hospital...
That's also on their website. Can't you use the second addon instead of that one you have now?

but i dont want to pay for another addon to use functionality built into the phone and i pay for web acces in the first place... rant rant...grrrr
I only have PAYG on 3 so my experience might be different that yours. I had no trouble to configure connection with my laptop (no username & password required).
But what I got then was a HUGE disapointment. When I was browsing on my laptop, I discovered that any web page I wanted to see was reformated by 3 to a WAP format, it really looked ridiculous on my laptop. Also all ports were blocked, so I was unable to ssh, use VPN, whatever..... I wasn't connecting using the WAP settings, but it still did it. I then tried to browse on my phone and it was the same. What a shame.
This a a far cry from internet t-mobile provides for the same price 1 a day - also on PAYG. But all services you might want to use works there, smooth fast browsing, can connect to my server, mail, VPN....
Anybody has same experience with 3 ?
I was going to get a vodaphone datacard and use PAYG web and walk until they told me it was 8.50 for 24hrs, and that is calender 24 hrs not 2hrs one day and 1 another day untill you get to 24 Hrs.....
