I wondered why the web shortcut (blue "i" button) opened up DOWNLOAD! instead of WEB application when the front screen was in Menu(Grid) mode. Was this a bug in software? :con?
No. Confusing, but it seems like a design feature. All twelve number pad buttons correspond to the positions of the first twelve grid icons visible on the menu screen. So pressing "1" shorcuts to CONTACTS, "2" to CALENDAR, ... "*" to WEB, etc. 😊
No need to scroll and click.
By the way, just downloaded a trial of Handy Profile from Epocware, a very neat little application which automatically switches to SILENT profile during my working days and hours (I am a teacher), to MEETING profile when I schedule meetings in the calendar, and back to GENERAL at all other times. Neat!
