Hi, wondering about the music capabilities of the N81. If you tested it, let us know anything special regarding sound quality or gapless playback, etc.

If you haven't, when you do the big review please review it musically compared to the music quality of the N91. It kind of seems like an update of the N91 because of the lock key on top, 3.5mm jack, and the d-pad area resembles the N91's music playback controls. I'm curious if it will have as loud and rich a sound as the N91...frankly, I think Nokia is way overdue on a top of the line music phone...don't know if other N91 users feel the same way, but I just don't feel the 5700 is quite up to snuff sound-quality wise...just seems like an S60 phone repackaged controls-wise but not a design for premium quality music listening through and through, the way the N91 feels.

Anyway, I really hope the N81 will be an awesome gaming phone AND an amazing, high sound-quality music player phone...guess we have to wait and see...

Couldn't agree more. Seems like the perfect music player / gaming phone...

The N91 is so far the best music phone Nokia has made, but very unappreciated due to its different looks and weight. Shallow world we live in.

So the N81 is its more attractive successor and i think it has the same pedigree in playback quality.
