Hi! Im trying to update my n73 to n73 ME, but when I try to update with nsu, after changing the code with nss to europe 1 (0537289), it says there are no software available for your phone, and my phone is detected as
Nokia N73 (RM-132)
Firmware Version
Current: 3.0638.0.0.1
Also, if I enter the following code in my phone *#0000# to see my phone information it display:
V3.0638.0.0.1
31-10-2006
RM-132
Nokia N73 (A6.02)
Anybody knows what is happening? I really appreciate any help.
sounds like you havent changed your product code
in nemisis next to the product key box did you tick the enable box?? you should.
then click read -- lots of numbers and stuff will come up--change the product code--then click write--1 sec later it should be changed--to check disconnect phone then read again--should show new product code--
now try nsu again for update

Yes I did that,
Opened Nemesis, clicked on the top right button "Scan for new device", went to phone info section, clicked on the scan button, changed the Product Code to 0537289, ticked on the enabled box, then clicked on the write button.
This is the info displayed after I click on the read button in nemesis:
Product Code:0537289
HW Version:6008
Manufacture Month:55.12856

Just checked the Nokia site. V 4.0727.2.2.1 is available for your phone ( Product Code 0537289 ). So you should be able to install it no problem.
Try downloading & installing a new copy of Nokia Software Updater ( Uninstall the old copy first ), & try again.
ive seen n73's do this before. some just do not respond to updates and persistant trying can brick your phone, ive bricked 2

not good, as they werent mine. do not choose music edition anyway, the new software is music edition compatible and does same stuff, just no didicated music key. in any case, its a problematic process and i think maybe getting nokia to update or reflash would help
Thxs for the help to everbody, i succesful update the firmware, it appears that nokia remove the updates for several product codes, i did it succesfully with the product code 0529835, is not music edition, but anyways i only was looking for the new music player, so im happy now!! 😊
