I've installed my program correctly ("installation successful" message appeared) But when i go to my menu, programs, it is not there.
I have already tried to reinstall it, but it is always the same problem. It is even not shown in the Program manager. However, when i check the folders, all the files are there...
Is the icon i am looking for only a kind of shortcut to the program ? If yes, in which (hidden) folder can i find the actual program to be executed ?

What program? Where did you install it? What version firmware?
Please note that the sis files can contain anything, not only programs. For example you can have a sis which deploys ten JPEGs in E:\ for example. So you may have installed not a program, but just some files.
Also...if you installed to memory card via USB....the app wont show until you disconnect the USB from the phone.
Thank you for the response.
I installed (not via the PC usb connection, but via the file manager in my Phone) The Journey (S60 3rd Edition) onto my SD Card.
I am using the Firmware 11.0.026
From what i ve read about the 12.0.. firmware, i prefer to skip this one. In addition i dont have the time to backup, restore, (reinstall)... etc. at the moment.
Do you know whether the icons are just a kind of shortcut and i can find the executable file in a hidden folder ?

?
Some programs will only work if installed to a particular memory type.
If you installed it to MicroSD, try re-installing to internal memory.
or...
If you installed to Internal Memory, try re-installing to Micro-SD next time.
