No SMS delivery report

I have set the N95 to give a delivery report confirmation when I send an SMS, and yet I do not recieve one, even though I know the SMS has gone through. When I check the Reports menu all me sent SMS have "pending" next to them. Can anyone explain this?

Your operator has to support this feature not just the phone. If your in the UK and 02 message reports can be done by typing *0# before the message you type.
