N95 line in recording??

hi all, new to this forum, hopefully someone can help me with this little query....

got my N95 this week, and i love it, easily the best phone i've owned 😃 i was wondering tho, as it has a voice recorder, which uses the internal microphone, and also has an input for an external microphone, could i plug in external equipment (i'm a DJ, so thinking specifically of my turntables here) and use the N95 as a recording device in that way??

the other option for me is to buy a gemini iKey, which allows you to record off any source and store it onto any USB storage device. these cost about 150 tho so if i can achieve similar results with just my N95 (albeit in mono only) then i would be even happier with this amazing device.

thanks guys, look forward to getting some advice on this!!!

yes you would be able to customize a headset cable replacing the mic with a phono plug, which can be plugged into your mixer..

might have to play with the master output level of your mixer untill it sounds good though, as this is 'mic in' not 'line in'
