Navicore & Route 66

Hi,

Can someone tell me why I cant have Navicore and Route 66 installed and working.
Originally I had navicore 2006 installed and working with my BT GPS then I went to R66 using the internal GPS but it wouldnt install unless i removed navicore.

I have now got Navicore 2007 installed and that is working fine but now if I go to open R66 it just instantly closes.

Any suggestions??

Thanks,

Mike

There is some odd compatibility issue between navicore and route66. Put simply, you cannot have one on if you want to use the other. This means that unless you want to carry a spare memory card in your pocket, its impossible to have access to both. All the route66 files on one, and navicore on the other.

This is another reason why I am selling my version of navicore. I contacted navicore themselves about it, and they simply said 'sorry'. No fix.

Navicore is the culprit in this, as I have used route66 with many many GPS programs and its never caused a problem. I couldnt get navicore to work unless I used a clean memory card, so I think there maybe issues with navicore and other satnav programs too. However, I couldnt be bothered to mess about with taking off all viewranger and navigon files to find out.

Well I have Navicore and Viewranger installed on the same card with no problems, both run faultlessly. So I think the issue is slightly more complex than that.

I have viewranger and navicore running fine.

I think there are some file associations between R66 and Navicore

Im a big fan of Navicore so am keeping that above R66

Thanks for your help!!
