Heya,

Im on version V 12.0.013 now, as last night i changed the product code of my phone from an orange code, and installed the latest update.

However, i read around on the internet and was told that it would update my GPS and give me A-GPS options and also that it would take under a minute to find my location

but it still doesnt....:icon13:

Any ideas guys? Cheeeeeers :icon14:

Yeah i think i do - thats the Assisted GPS right? Does that mean it will use my internet connection as well as sattelites to find out where i am?

Would it be an idea to make sure i had every single map etc too?

firstly press *#0000# to ensure you have v12.0.013

then go to tools, settings, general, positioning, positioning mthods then activate A-GPS

its the only way to activate it
done

1.Have you enabled A-GPS and also set it to use a default Access Point?
2.Have you checked that your network's transmitters supports A-GPS?
3.Are you within reception area for multiple transmitters for your network?

I did the following to get AGPS working on my N95:

"Settings" then "General" then "Positioning".

Under "Positioning methods" tick "Assisted GPS", "Integrated GPS" and "Network based".

Under "Positioning server" set the Access point to your network provider's internet connection (as an example, my Vodafone UK account uses "Vodafone Internet GPRS"😉. Set the Server address to "supl.nokia.com" (Note it is an L, not a 1!).

Hope this works for you too.

Spot on guys - really appreciated! I thought i was doing something wrong or that it wouldnt be on my phone or something!

Great stuff! My problem is solved now - hopefully this can be of some help to others too!!

I'll get used to this phone one day hahah 😃

Thanks again!
