After downloading and installing when chosing the search nearby function the options are not English has anyone any ideas how to correct this :con?

Yes! I'm American and my nearby options are in German too! I'm glad someone else has this problem...does anyone know of a place to re-download the old version? I can't seem to get a lock either.

Only the names of categories and subcategories are in German. All the menu is shown correctly in my own language, also the POI's which were found for a selected category are correct.
When I returned to the previous version, the categories were shown correct. After installing the newest version, they are shown in german again.

BTW:
I could share the previous version, if I knew how to do it.

Yea, it's just those menus and submenus as you mentioned...very convenient.

This is a bug in the application.
If you disable an access to the net in the application settings,
the categories will be shown in the correct language.
We need to wait for a fix from Nokia.

Its crashing when I attempt to make a certain route from the south coast to thames, aswell. :/

Next version of Nokia Maps has been released (v1.2 wk38 b01).
Currently it's only available on the Nokia 's web page.
I'm just testing it and can see that the categories in the "Nearby" menu are shown in correct language again. 😊

Make sure you install it to the phone memory as it upgrades the builtin software.

There are still other bugs not fixed, e.g. :
- the routing is strange (the roads doesn't have correct priorities assigned to),
- the map view blinks during navigation when changed between 2D/3D,
- the map view freezes during navigation when voice command is being spoken.

Nope: the "language"-bug is still there ! :icon13:

My phone-language is Dutch, and the POI-language is English now!

But it's correct for you guys now ! 😊

What are your internet-settings: OFF or When needed?

With the OFF-option, the language is OK (Dutch); with when needed, the language is English . . .

Wondering, which language would be the next: 1st German, 2nd English, 3rd ???

I know the impact of this setting. Nevertheless it always works correctly.
My current setting is "When needed".
I also checked that it works correctly when "OFF" is selected.

You can always report errors in the official web page of smart2go.

Just for everyone's information, I've just downloaded the new version from the Nokia website, and up to now everything seems fine. :icon14: Languages are all correct (English) and everything still seems to work ok.

Time will tell though....

Hi all,

I'm not sure if this only happens to me but there is definitely more bugs in this version of Nokia Maps (v1.2 wk38 b01). Whenever I choose options\Find Place and choose Nearby, the following would happen:

1. Sometimes would freeze at the menu page
2. Sometimes would freeze & phone restart if I quickly press e.g. Automotive, the first item on the list for more details
3. Sometimes the phone would freeze by going back to the previous menu if I'm able to proceed to the sub-menu of e.g. Automotive

Anyone else having similar problem?
