GPS Software - Traffic Updates

What are peoples experiences with traffic updates on the different GPS software titles available?

I currently run Route 66 7 and find the traffic updates/re-routing to be abismal to say the least. I think it purposfully heads towards traffic rather than avoiding it.

I used to have TomTom and perhaps my memory of it is slightly rose-tinted but I remember the traffic service being really good. It avoided roadworks and all types of congestion. It was very rare I ended up stuck in a jam.

I'm considering Navicore 2007 as a replacement for Route 66 to bind me over until TomTom release Navigator 7 (Which I hope will support the N95 chip). Does anyone have any experience with the traffic system on Navicore '07?

I'd be glad to know your thoughts on this.

I'm very happy with Navicore.

The traffic-info is a lot better than
the traffic-info I get from the VDO
that is built into my car.

Also you get a lifetime-license.

It was great on a N80 and even
better on the N95 (internal and
assisted GPS!).

Out of interest, has anybody ever had ANY evidence that there is traffic info on the bundled Nokia Maps in UK? I have always assumed it was included, particularly as I paid my subs for a whole year, but recently got taken right up to a closed road with no warning at all.
