Hi I have an E61 which i have been using very happily.
I recently decided to try out the Access Points Groups as I found out it only works with the in built Messaging application. It all works great except I have a strange issue and wonder if anyone else may be able to see if they get the same.
I have an email account setup in Messaging which is set to auto retrieve every 15 minutes, using my Access Points Group which consists of my home and work Wifi only. I have the option to show available wireless connections on the main screen switched off. However, when i turn on the automatic retrieval of my emails in Messaging, everytime it checks for messages it turns the setting to show available wireless connections back on! I dont even have to touch the phone at all.
I change it to "never" and exit, go back in to confirm it is never, which it is. Come back later and check and its set to "always". :con? :con? :con?
If i turn of auto retrieval of emails then the show wireless connections stays off, but when auto retrieval is on it switches the option to show wireless connections back on, after every retrieval.
(the option to show wireless connections is under Settings->Connections->Wireless Lan if i remember correctly)
Anyone else ever heard of this or able to test with theirs see if they get the same? I am using the latest firmware, phone is unlocked with no operator software, tried after hard reset and using a formatted memory card.
I know its only a small issue, but i like only seeing the little wifi symbol and knowing that it means im connected, not that there is wifi available.
