Try the helpdesk of R66; I've no probs with the 545-version! 😉
http://www.66.com
according to r66 support the n95 doesnt support route66 yet.
thats the answer they gave me when i asked a question about something w few weeks ago.
had a few r66 crashes myselfe, works fine mostly, nothing to worry about son.
yeah you are right
but the probability of opening the the application is very low. application opens only 4 out of 10 times is try
but when it opens its rocking and works well
but i have noticed another thing in it.
while you are navigating to some point and you dont follow the route it does not give you any alarm and does not recalculate the route or some times it halts again 😊
have to experimented this?
never ever recalculating a new route for you?
always does for me..
weird

Main question,
Did you install R66 to your mem card cos if you did it's terrible.
I have it wotking from phone mem without any problem.
If you did then uninstall and reinstall to phone mem.
I've R66 installed on my memory-card: no probs at all!
So: it doesn't matter where you install it; when it had to be installed into your phone memory, the installer doesn't give you the option to install the application to your memory-card.
When you install it on your memory-card, the necessary files will also be copied into the phone memory (but not all, so that saves internal memory!).
hi guys!
after huge struggle i manage to work it out.
infect these were the maps that was not working correctly.
i had installed Britain.prm and it was 220MB
when i tried older version of maps which was 140 MB it never ever halted again.
now there is another problem i cant search 7 digit postcode in uk it gives me error check your search string.
i have installed Route66 7.3.545
but before replacing 220 MB maps with 140 MB maps i was able to search 7 Digit postcode
so is this because to maps?
any thoughts?
Well if you used legit software, you wouldnt have these issues 🙄

It does matter where you install it, but, not for everyone.
There is no advantage in saving internal memory as the operating area for the OS has nothing to do with the internal memory for apps.
If you don't get the option to install to phone then install to mem card, then uninstall the app and reinstall and you get the option. This makes the whole program more stable. I never get a problem.
If you install to phone for all apps you don't loose them when you change mem card or get a card problem!
hi
i tried to install the application on phone memory and card with 220 mb maps but both time it was halting and some times it says "not suffient memory to run the application close some of applciations".
but after replacing the 220mb maps with 140 mb one i never got any problem not even a sigle time it never ever crashed. each time it recalulated the route.
but there is a problem now i cant search 7 digit postcode now but with 220 mb maps i was able to do this.
so who has 220 mb maps and does any one else have same problem of crashing and is there any one with 140 mb maps who can can search 7 digit postcode
like "NR15 1JG"
thanks
One thing you CAN try (and its worked for me) is to switch it to 2D mode with no autozooming. I use to get blackspots on the map and hang the app whenever you encounter these. Changing a newer map did not resolve the issue.
When I tried it with the 2D mode, then it works fine! even recalculations and everything!! give it a try.. I now prefer 2D over the 3D mode! 😊

Why do R66 offer an update to the 545-version on their support-site?!? :icon4:
