Landscape mode with keypad open

Found this little trick/bug to get the N95 in landscape mode whilst still having access to the numpad.

Make sure the phone is slide open such that the numpad is accessible, then:

1) Open the camera shutter.
2) Press the Gallery button.
3) Close the camera shutter.
4) Close the gallery.

And there you have it, your N95 in landscape mode, whilst still having access to the numbpad.

Have yet to find a use/benefit for this, but thought i'd share nonetheless.
Also Ive only tested this on the v12.0.013 firmware.

ut.

Just to let you know, i tried this on v.11 firmware and can't seem to recreate this 😞. Seems like another point in case to upgrade

EDIT: I lied, i was pressing the multimedia button, not the gallery button. This does work on V.11.

Nice tip mate, haven't really played with it yet, but just to confirm, it works on the v12.0.14 APAC firmware

Thanks - it's just what I needed.

Played with it and found there's even a faster procedure:

1. Open shutter
2. Click the Galery button
3. Click the red Hang up button
4. Close shutter

Landscape mode is set, immediately.

(You do 1-2-3 in a row and it saves entering/exiting the gallery).
