software settings.

you're left with the possibility that its firmware or hardware. Since the phone won't stay up long enough to reflash. In this case he's going to have to get it repaired/replaced.

I've noticed, since I've flashed to the newest firmware, that every now and then my phone will restart. I think it might be something to do with it communicating with the battery, who knows, but it hasn't caused any major issues yet, it just simply restarts itself, quickly, I only ever notice the screen with the nokia hands at the startup and then it goes back into standby as if nothing happened. I'm not too concerned about it as I've only seen it do it three or four times since the upgrade about two and a half weeks ago.

Hi thanks for reply
I am noticing tht may be becose of restarting problame or may be its something else but my bettry is oging down it hardly works for 6-8 hours.even my frind facing same problame.Anybody else has same problame????any suggetion????

When is it restarting? Is it immediately when you start it up, or after a certain amount of time? Are you able to do anything at all with the phone before it resets itself?

What other software are you running apart from Seven?

When did this problem start? Was it like it when you got the phone or only after you'd installed something? If so what was that?

see actually I would have hardly noticed tht.but my phones bettry works like max.for 6 hours.I thought like its becos of seven.I even use agile perellaly.can u tell me is this a reason why my bettery goes down becose of seven?

Seven will be continually connected to the internet through one of your data connection in order to keep your email up to date. This will cause a significant drain on your battery which is probably what you're noticing. Try not using Seven for a day and see what difference it makes.

All Seven costs you at the moment is your data charges from you operator. If you're on an unlimited data plan you're laughing. Seven itself is free at the moment as its a beta, but in the future I wouldn't be suprised if they charge for it.

If you don't mind leaving your home PC on all the time then Emoze is a very nice solution and its free. It'll also sync your calendar and contacts too and is very fast. www.emoze.com

In regards to my phone randomly restarting:

I don't have anything else running.

It will do it at no set interval, I'll be sitting around with my phone on the table or something and I'll notice it light up, thinking maybe a call is coming through, so I'll peer over and notice the boot screen (the two nokia hands coming together and the little tune). It does not proceed to ask me my PIN and then displays my welcome note. I'm thinking it's not a full shutdown because I have my sim protected and it would ask me for my PIN if it did totally shut off and restart.

Again, I think it has to do with the phone communicating with the battery to get a realtime update. I've noticed this on my camcorder as well, only it will display on the screen "communicating with battery" for about 3 to 5 seconds.

Another possibility is that maybe a call is coming through but because the phone has been on standby for so long, it makes the phone lock up when it tries to come out of standby and alert you of a call. Although no one ever complains of a call not coming through to me??

I really don't know, but it's not a big issue right now, it does it maybe once every two weeks that I notice and it doesn't take long for it to powercycle.
