N95 not retaining WEP key for wifi — Nokia N95 and N95 8GB

I have recently been given an N95 as a birthday present, and I can connect it to my wireless network without any problem if I enter the 26 character hex WEP key.

The trouble is that I have to enter the key every time which is a bit difficult to remember 😊 I have tried using the WLAN setup option and entered the key there, but it still asks for it the next time I connect to the WLAN.

Does the N95 have the ability to retain the WEP key or am I just going to have to key it in each time?

Most definitely yes. Otherwise it really would be a pain. 😉 Try defining the access point within Tools>Settings>Connection>Access Points rather than the WLAN wizard. it should store it this way (though I'm not sure why it's not remembering it the other way).
