N95 video testers wanted

19 replies · 5,113 views · Started 21 September 2007

Hi all,

I am looking for people with N95s and other N-series phones to test out a video download app I have developed that gives you access to a stack of free high quality video.

Will happily offer free access for a year to anyone that helps out.

Let me know if anyone is keen by replying to this post and I will send through my details (need to make more than 10 posts before this can be posted).

Thanks,
Andrew

I'll give it a go.

By the way, I'm pretty sure you can post your URL by putting it into the following format.

www dot yourdomain dot com

xerxes

Signup and it should send you an SMS with a link to install otherwise just go to pocketvidz dot com slash install.php and select from the list of supported phones.

Generally looks good; a couple of issues I've found though:
When you get the application to your phone following online signup, you're shown the signup information again. I was aware I was supposed to use the activation code, but didn't find out where before trying the left soft key - might be an idea to ask for the code first, then ask for signup details only if the user doesn't have one? I also accidentally clicked straight through to the application before entering my code, which meant I was unable to download anything since there's no way to edit your login details without deleting the program and reinstalling. Null codes could, at least, be rejected.

As for the service itself - generally good, but I notice a distinct flicker every second or so on my N95, either in portrait or landscape mode, as if there was a black frame in there every so often, and it gets a bit annoying.

Hi,

Count me in! I'll check out the website and test it as soon as I get some free time at work 😊
