Active Standby Plugins on N95

I've read a few posts on here that seem to imply that the active standby plugins are not a feature of the N95 - this is so crazy I find it hard to believe.

Are they really gone? There's nothing I can do to have my latest emails on my active-standby page?

I am just as interested in this part. It's just a waste of time to have a Symbian phone and I can't customize what I want even by installing an app - which is this case NO APPS that can do the job.

If anyone knows how we can customize the active standby screen, pls help.

I remember asking this same question after I got my phone on here, and it seems its not a feature of the N95, I found a program that does it but it was for another Nokia:con?

I too cannot understand why it isn't a feature.
