is it A Video recorder or just a Player?
Hi all
I wanted to post about this last night, but Rafe's provider was having some problems, it seems.
anyway, here is a link to a chinese forum where people talks about it
since I can't read chinese, there's no way I could understand what they're saying
<moderator edit, you know why!>
so, if anyone who has a chinese 7650/3650 and is willing to make screenshots and send them to us along with a translation of what these options mean, would be very appreciated (since running on an english phone will only display two squares as each menu title, and this is impossible to decipher)
so how do i get this in the phone? :-? and, btw, is that a silver 7650 casing on the photo or my eyes are just fooling me? 8)
What is the status of pocket nancy? Freeware, shareware?
faquick - Has the link to the chinese site been taken away.
Have managed to convert the japanese pages but have not found the app to download. If i found the program there would be a terms and conditions page which i would read and see if it is a demo or full version which has conditions e.g only to be used in japan.
The link to the demonstration is very cool and after further investigation found that nacy also seems to be a player as well as there seems to be movie clips that can be downloaded and a monthly section where people post there collections of movies.
Would like to try this app via a demo version when my 7650 comes back from NSR (two weeks and counting)

I see one simple video player with audio on the demo...
How you know that the same app record with audio?
i think that is a simple app to see the Nacy Network with Streming Video...
it's like a product for the 7650 to see the Nacy programs or something..
but.. i don't know and i don't see anything to tell and actually say that this app record video with audio...
Japanisse? anyone? 😃
i'll wait for more news for this app till nothing...
cya!

Still no news in english? I want to know if it can record with sound 😞(( Is it possible that nobody at ASS understands japanesse?
Look in here at the pocket nancy thread:
http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=15
I have been sent the .sis and have installed it successfully. There are only a limited number of options and they are quite easy to work out on the most part. The app will record video and sound at the same time and the top option is record with a side bar menu which lets you choose to record a movie as the first option, a slideshow as the second and a picture as the third. All of these options record sound at the same time. The next option from the main menu appears to be an information screen. I have worked out most of the commands so if anyone wants them listed, or better still if anyone can write the English .rsc file, post here and I will list the rest of the commands as i understand them. Seems quite good and allows you to change the colour of the 'surround' and even add a scrolling banner below your video, slideshow or picture. REALLY COOL?? or maye i am just a bit sad getting excited over a phone (which is also a video camera, games machine, blah, blah...... 😊 😃 😃
the REAL question I would like to ask people who tried it in a chinese phone is:
Is this software legally redistributable? Is there inside the program any "clue" that tells us if this is commercial, freeware, shareware, or tied to some Chinese GSM contracts? Where would it be legally downloadable from?
then, if positive answer can be given to these questions, we all here well be happy to continue talking about it... otherwise, well... I don't think far Asia softwaremakers will come here and blame on us, but probably we shouldn't go on talking about this and encourage people to download the app.
Just my 0.02
hello there i have tried the pocket nancy and yes it records video with real time sound..... i dont understand chinese or japanese i just tried clicking the buttons and i got it working, did anybody notice that in the video the one they are using is in english?
but the above pic show english options.....or am i mistaken? :-?
I agree with your above comments
I still can't find a direct download link to try this app.
I think most of this forum are responsible enough not to use dodgy software and I would imagine there are a large percentage of users on this forum who use other none licensed video software when it is only licensed to a German or Italian country.
If it is agreed by the mods there should be no reference of this software perhaps there should be no links to hantro.
Just my opinion so no abusive replies please
Hi there!..
Where i can Download to try it?
Japanisse or not i want to see it ... 😃
thanks!
Alejandro
I could post the .sis file here but want to know if I am OK to do so. Will admin please advise on this - many thanks.
No, not until we know if its free, and most likely not.
And even then, thru link to developers site.
Thanks.
no problem, matey! Don't know developers site anyway as was passed to me via BT. Wont post this until more news is forthcoming.

I must correct you. Video softwares aren't licensed just for Germany and Italy. Even here in Czech Republic, T-mobile will install you Hantro camcoder for free and in czech language. So I think that all users of T-mobile worldwide has possibility to have this legally.
i understand chinese so i'll try and see what i can translate into english for you guys later on, however, sometimes there is a micture of chinese and japenese in the japenese language and so it'll take some time to see whether the character is belonging to the japenese text or the chinese, if anyone understands that? no? i'll be quite now

Well, usually all distribution deals are per country. Having a deal with eg. T-Mobile Czech doesn't mean that it applies to T-Mobiles in other countries.

Why not use the Nokia video recorder for the 7650. It's legal and free and English. If you search this forum you will get a link for it.
