After the last firmware upgrade, my phone, like many other people's, got a new bug: you would have to press two or three times a keypad button in order for it to work. The bug was documented, some people tried to find a pattern (and failed), and then the whole matter disappeared from the threads.
Has there been a solution which I missed while on vacation? Or is everybody used to the problem and does not care any more?
I know I do. Actually I find it very irritating as I often use my phone without looking at it. I feel like a jerk, waiting for something to happen and nothing does, when the bug kicks in.
Nobody cares about the button problem anymore?
I agree with you entirely, this is a major bug as far as i'm concerned. I've shelved my n95 whilst waiting for a solution. I find it impossible to live with because i text a lot and it is extremely annoying when you have to go back 3 times in a sentence to correct a missed character. For gods sake nokia get a grip on what's important and hurry up, it's high time this was put to bed. It's an extremely capable phone that's biblically annoying to use.
I heartily agree with both your posts. Since V12 texting has become a pain in the butt.
While Nokia is about it could they also reconfigure the OS so that it frees up some more RAM please.

The latest version of firmware (v.12) has seen a number of improvements not least of all a percieved incease in speed.
It seems that this has had a trade of in that the keypad buffer doesn't 'catch up' with the system for a few cycles of operation.
It does eventually, and this causes the annoyance!
This will, unfortunately, only be 'fixed' by a future version update.
Not much help I know. I now know when to wait the extra micro second in order to get the required response.
So, for those of you in the know, any chance of a firmware update soon?
Like Clive6630, I had to do the same thing - I switched back to my SE K800i until Nokia sorts this bug out. It's infuriating!
