web / options / settings / Page / Screen Size = Full screen and Font Size = smallest

Unfortually that doesn't do the trick even if the text do get a bit smaller if you choose the setting = Smallest.

But is you go to the zoom alternative you still see it's at 100% and if you change it to 50% you see what I mean and what I want to achieve.

Any more good ideas out there on how to get the web browser to open up with the Zoom set at 50% as default. Now it always opens at 100% and then I have to change it to 50% everytime which is a bit annoying.

try the page setting to normal instead of full screen and also the fonts to smallest. i think that is what seki meant

I too find this an annoying feature (or lack of feature), especially as you can't change the zoom until the page is loaded!
