Hello all iv recently started using p990i latest firmware R6E28. but im facing a lot of problems and would really apprecite if some1 can help
1) I cant use the browser I get XML parsing failed everytime although some times some websites do work....
2) Iv not been able to access Gmail on my phone it says Network problem, although google.com works fine??
3) Iv set up an email A/c but when i try to send an email it says Unknown error.
4)How to change the shortcut in flip close mode for the preset shortcut
= "calls" on the left hand corner above the back button to Messaging??
5) How can I use google talk on the P990??

there are many IM clients availbale to use google talk and push mail. I can send you link in couple of days - after my eligibility to post link afer 10 postings!!!
same for mails, have you tried to download and use gmail app for mobile?

Basic futures -
Push mail from multiple account, Multiple IM (Hotmail, yahoo, AOL, ICQ etc as of now) , RSS Feed, and also a just added future - can call many locations in world at cheaper rates from your mobile - still not as cheap as internet telephony but cheaper than normal International calling rates.
Also if their desktop version is loaded on your PC, you can access your complete PC from mobile - great for you to access your important files etc. - when you are touring and have miseed to carry some files!!!

1. no send / receive of attachments in mail , but mail with attachment can be seen - attachment is not retrivable
2. only first 2000 characters (2kb) of meesage received as push mail - balance mail you can view by clicking More in option.
3. In IM - only once account can be used at a time - so you need to log off our YAhoo and than onyl can use AOL
I seem to have the same problem. After I upgraded to R6E28 I can neither surf the net nor download RSS feeds. Email however works fine. What could be the issue?
