Hi, i have had my motorola Z8 for nearly a week now. Its great the only thing is that once the screen saver has been on the screen turns to black (which looks like the phone is turned off) is there any way of haveing the time, date, message alert, missed call allert showing on here. I was able to do this with my old motorola pebble.? as the only way to see if i have had a message or missed call is to open the phone then close it? Any ideas? Thanks.
Black Scree/Screen Saver
Unfortunately not - UIQ does not have any decent built in screensavers
the z8 has a few screen savers, but great ones but they are there.
you will need to activate them from the profile menu.
profile/select/general (or which ever profile you choose)/options/edit/ (at top of screen you will now see some more tabs, basic, calls,messages,sounds and screen.
scroll to screen tab, then scroll down to "screen saver". select "options,open,picture". now click on "options" again, then click "settings". click "change"
from the new menu, scroll down to media_content, then select wallpapers.
select your wallpaper then select "done"
you should now be back at the screen menu. there is an option there called "screen saver timeout" change this to the required setting.
when done, select "options/save"
then select "activate"
this should do the trick
