Crash drains battery, too many crashes

Hi,

The P800 crashed while resting in my mantle pocket. Of course, it displays the "reboot please" screen, i.e. the animated thingy trying to explain one should press the power button for 10 seconds. You know what: It does this will the backlit on full power! The battery got drained within a very short time (I don't know when exactly it crashed, but it couldn't have been more than 4-5 hours).
I got it just in time before it lost all its data...

Also, is it just me or does your phone also crash a little bit too often when you're moving around? I have a T39 reboot every 2-3 days, i had a T68i with newest firmware for a test, and it rebooted every 2-3 days, and now the P800. I did exchange SIM cards and all, but it seems the Ericsson phones don't like the Swisscom network.

I'm with Microcell in Canada and several of my friend's T68's and T68i's "freeze" every other day, almost. Fortunately, so far, I haven't had any problems with my P800, and there was not a single problem encountered when I was using my Nokia 8890 in two and half years! It does look like to be Ericsson's problem.

Coolvi, I have been using (and still am) my Nokia 8890 for almost two and a half years too and have been waiting for the release of the P800 to replace it - Lord knows my 8890 and seen lots of use and abuse! Whenever I'm in Canada the phone has been rock solid. Where did you buy your P800? If you have a place to buy them in Canada maybe I'll get my brother to pick it up for me and bring it to Spain where I live! 😊

Lonnie

Actually, I got it off eBay. 😃

Check out http://www.uaemall.com as they have it for $785US and I believe they do ship world-wide. It's located in the United Arabic Emirates. I'm not familiar with the country and all thus have not purchased anything there so I can't give you any personal guarantee. So use it at your own risk! :P
