Ah yes, the Nokia N93. Largely forgotten these days and effectively obsolete, here's a reminder from James of how good the N93 was/still is, with a video demonstration with stereo audio. And don't forget that I still use the N93 to film my Smartphones Show. Wish Nokia would fix the few remaining firmware bugs though...

I agree. I am using a n93 and really love the phone. But it is frustating to see that everyone around me is getting firmware updates and bug fixes and my phone that is just about a year old since its launch (right steve?) has already been abandoned.
How about something for us n93 users too Nokia? We DID spend a lot of money when we purchased it.
I believe the N93 has been used in the movie The Bourne Ultimatum. I guess if it's good enough for Treadstone/Blackbriar, the phone must be quite capable 😊
i too agree. the n93 has been dumped, no fixes, no new releases, now new firmware even beta lab applications don't work on it anymore
n93 has been forgotten and nokia ditched us. when we bought n93 it was the most capable phone and the most expensive on the market, nokia could at least credit us for that, but alas as they ditched the ngage the n93 looks like a story to be forgotten thanks to criticizers not liking its size. i love my n93 and wont give it in for anything else, anything else from nokia anyways.
It will be nice if nokia upgrade the N93i with autofocus while record movie.....
It's bizarre thet two of the best things that Nokia have produced recently have not become mainstream enough to get the support they deserved - the N93 and of course the E70
I blame (in the UK) the networks.
I totally agree. The N93 is a fantastic camcorder, and I still love using it. The form-factor is ideal imo. I bought it the 2nd of october last year, so it's almost time for a party!! ;+)
I never use a phone more then a year (they end up in my phone-museum), but this one I will, untill a better folding Symbian phone comes on the market.
So help me and other early-adoptors AAS, and let Nokia know we'd like to have a firmware-update for our first birthday!
It did make the list of phones compatible with the next-gen NGage games tho!! And of all those phones, the N93 is the best for gaming, not only beacuse of the 3D-chip and TV-out (that it shares with the N95), but also because of the possibility to use turn the screen in landscape mode, and comfortably use the phone as a controller with two hands. I even use one of the camera buttons on the side as a shoulder-button when playing doom =)
Maybe when they finish the whole next-gen gaming platform thingy, a firmware-update will be released for the N93..........
