O2 N95 Already unlocked

Hi peeps 😊

Just wondering if anyone else has mentioned this..

I got an N95 from an O2 shop last week and just decided tonight to see what happens if I stick my contract T Mobile Sim in it......

It works fine without having to unlock the phone!?! I thought these things were supposed to be network locked.

Going to see if it works with other networks.

Cheers
Jay

O2 rarely lock handsets. The other Operators usually do, Vodafone sometimes don't, especially for early handsets. Vodafone will also unlock for free if you tell them the handset is over twelve months old.

I got my N95 on contract to vodaphone off the net from mobilephonesdirect .
When phone arrived I was pleasantly surprised phone was not sim locked and didnt even have vodaphone firmware checked product code and it is euro1 , so I was a happy chappie

I've had three o2 branded phones so far (7650, N70 and N95) and all of them were unlocked so I could put any sim card in it. Just change the product code and upgrade the firmware, and you will have yourself an unlocked and unbranded mobile 😊

I ordered 3 N95's from o2 online shop, and all came unlocked.

Managed to change them all to EURO1 and flash them all with no problems, too.
