Hi all,
I just got my N95, It already had V12.0.13 installed, I started maps, and maploader, downloaded the maps (downloaded so quick and saved), then i started maps, using my WAP, and it was working well, until i knew there is an upgrade so I went to nokia website, downloaded the 3.06ms .sis file (1_0) it installed v1.2 of maps, well, before i installed it, It was very very smooth & fast, i mean when moving the cursor over the map, i can tell it was fast...after the upgrade, it has become TOO slow, the moving of the cursor on he map is way too slow to be normal...and with the old version the position of the gps was not accurate, it was shifted a couple of meters away, when i installed the new version it was soooo accurate, so i dont wanna go back...
Also i suspected that it might be slow because it was using the WAP to download stuff (i'd like to know what is it retrieving - havent i already downloaded a 4.5 mb of my country from maploader already)?
so anyway , in the setting, i made Use connection to NEVER, and restated, but same problem..now its not retrieving any data from the WAP but its still slow as hell, can anyone please help??

Is it only me who is encountering that problem? the boring slow movement of the new upgraded version of maps? is that normal?
Any comments/suggestions/advice...anything will be much appreciated,

Do you mean the movement of the cursor over the map when pressing the direction keypad?
This is (deliberately) slow at first, and seems to be drawn toward items on the map. It speeds up once you hold down the keypad.
You may have too many items on display. Try deselecting all items on the categories screen. Other than that, I have no suggestions. Mine works fine.

Yes the momvement, an wether i select or deselect all items in category it is still slow in all means...i tried everything, reinstalling firmware, reinstalling the upgrade, on the phone memory and sd memory, deleting the cities dir and reinstalling maploader + re-downloading the maps...nothing works, its painfully slow, but the gps locking, is fine, the navigation is a bit slow...
damn, this is awefull..

Why do you want the Maps upgrade? just remove the sis files from your mem card, do a full format of the phone (*#7370#) and use the original Maps software.
The maps that I download before i upgrade are only 4 mb, after i upgrade maps i get 6 mb maps, which are really different in viewing their categories..
