n95 / n95 8gb question

hi all, just a quick question, im about to leave o2 back to the better signal of vodafone, and was thinking of getting n95 or n95 8gb, but my real question is:

I'm thinking of getting tom tom for my new phone, (i had tt5 on 6630) and wondered if the n95 8gb will run the currant tt6 ? as it's not listed on the offical web site, but people here claim it's ok on n95 (standard). or will tt7 run on n95 8gb, as i wondered will it count the 8gb as a memory card or will it see theres not one, if you see my point ?

sorry for the ramble, times almost up at internet cafe .. . .

cheers mike:con?

If it runs on the N95, I'd give it a very good chance of working on the N95 8GB - and the flash is seen as the E: drive, I think, like a memory card, so that shouldn't be an issue.

thanks for the speedy reply Mithent,

i thought that might be the case, but i wasnt sure, and didnt want to wait for the 8gb version, and tye my self to 18 month contract if it didnt do tom toms, as i'm giving away my old 6630 to my brother and need tomtoms for work.

Just fishing for a second opinion, (no offence Mithent, two heads are better than one !)

Any one else want to chip in, or had experience with other nokia's like the n91 (i seem to remember this had a hard drive ?) or any other non memorycard phones, and programs ?

cheers mike

If you wait for the release of the N95-8GB someone will try it very soon after release.

Don't get an 18 month contract - it's for the network's benefit, not yours.

It is rumoured that TT7 will be out soon and will support the internal GPS on the N95.
