Hi,
I am looking for a solution for dialling rules in contacts.
Explanation:
I bought a calling card that makes calls outside of australia cheap. This requires me to call a local number (lets say 02-33344422) and then wait a sec and then enter my code (lets say a 13 digit number) and then wait a sec and then the number I want to dial, with the country prefix.
I want to set up my N80 to dial everything for me when I choose to call some of my contacts (I want to be able to say that that contact should only be dialled with that rule)
We could do that with modems in the 90's, why can't I find it in a "smartphone" in the year 2007?
Create a new contact or update an existing contact, and after the local number press * three times to give you a "p" (pause). This makes the phone wait 1 sec. Then add the code, add another p and then the final number. All this should be entered as one long number. If the pauses are not long enough then add another p.
It has been like this on Nokias for many years.
Burcrim - thanks, but that is not dialing rules - its setting up a different number. I want to be able to set up a rule, and then point at a contact and say dial using the rule.
That way if I change calling card suppliers, I dont need to update hundreds of contacts - I just change the rule.
