Web Browser on N95 showing mobile versions of websites

Hello,

I have recently moved from an N80 to an N95. With the N80 I could use the internet browser (internet icon on N80) and be able to see the full internet sites - just like on a PC. I connected using my home wireless connection. The minimap browser worked perfectly.

However with my N95 when visiting certain websites I get the mobile version for example the BBC news website. The full version of this site displayed and worked perfectly on the N80, but on the N95 I get the basic mobile version even when connected via my home wireless router.

I know the N95 has the same minimap browser system as the N80 - is there any way I can force the browser to display full websites?

I hope someone can help me - thank you for reading.😊

Ah, but it's not quite the same browser as the N80, since that has the first version of the browser and the N95 has the second. I think only in the second version did they start to report that it was a a 'NokiaN95' or such in the user agent, and that 'Nokia' string is what's causing browsers to notice you're on a mobile device. So web sites might not have figured that out on the N80 browser, but will on the N95 one.
