n80 charging system

Hi,
Weird one this....
My N80 has decided it won't charge. At all. Ive tried a couple of mains chargers and a car charger, and nothing. Tried to look into the charging socket in the phone and as far as I can see its fine, clean, pin looks ok, so I'm confused 😛 All of the pins acting as battery terminals are perfect as well. Its like the charging circuit in the phone is broken somehow?

I bought a desktop charger and a second battery and both batteries charge fine with this, so ive been using them on a rotation system :P

Basically, is this anything im likely to be able to fix? I'm not above taking the phone to bits (although ive never tried with this phone so dont know how easy it would be) or am I better to just continue with the 2 batteries and admit defeat.

Any help is appreciated.
Cheers
Stuart

The phone is relatively easy to take apart, the female socket has a couple of pins inside that push up against the circuit board. While it's unlikely, (the thing sits in there pretty well) you may have just twisted it out of alignment - sounds a tad more serious though.

There are quite number of guides on line about opening the N80, a few video's floating around too. About your biggest issue will be getting dust under the screen.
