Issue: Rule on Webmail and Nokia's default mail Client

Do you guys find the same thing?

I use BT as my ISP and use their web based email. I use the default mail client on my Nokia 95 (because I try to use the minimum amount of 3rd party software).

The problem is that I have certain rules on my BT email settings that direct certain emails into personalised folders. When downloading emails onto my mobile, those emails do not get downloaded. It is almost as though the email client looks for new emails in my 'Inbox' only.

Is this a well-known phenomenon?

I assume your BT email is IMAP, since it has folders? If so, try doing this:

In Messaging, Options > Settings > E-mail > Mailboxes > BT (or whatever it's called > Retrieval settings > Folder subscriptions. Let it connect to get the folder names. Then go Options > Subscribe for each folder you want it to retrieve mail from. A tick should appear next to them.

I'm not 100% certain that will do it, but I think it should.
