Default Voice Navigation?

ach! No replies? I'd like to know the answer to this also!

I paid for 1 month and have found it pretty good, got me from home to Heathrow Terminal 4 and back just fine. No real issues except for missing speed camera poi.

A-gps makes all the difference - I get a fix within seconds most times.

how does the a gps lark work though? Does it not kill the battery life/cost money? :con? :con?

A-gps costs me about 5p per trip or maybe less.

The battery is killed by the backlight being on all the time but that is the case with all phones used as sat nav devices - my last phone only lasted 2 hours if it wasnt plugged in, and that was with external gps!

The battery things applies to all GPS systems. I reckon you get 3 or 4 hours from a full charge. You can get a car charger - they work a treat and enable longer driving sessisons.

It works actually quite well.

I wish though I could rather have a male voice.

I have tried to use the UK English, Danish and Italian voices. Not only do they sound metallic but they also do not sound like a native speaker.
