hii guys
i bought Nokia N70 ME last week. I am facing a problem. When ever i traverse from one menu to another menu a white color strip appears on the screen.

while typing sms after completing one line and while going to second line that patch can be seen. while adding new contact also after entering each character it flashes....

pls let me know any solution for this..

after paying this much of money i am not happy with this😡

Unfortunately, you have fallen into the same trap as i did. I recently bought a brand new n70 after trying various newer v3 phones only to quickly get fed up with them being unreliable and disappointing to use. Also, multi million gigga pixel camera's and vga video at 30 frames/s as good as they are, are mem card swallowers and not entirely necessary. For me the n70 is the perfect balance between quality and file size and for some reason the colour is more vivid on the n70 2mp sensor than any other 2mp nokia sensor i've messed with.

Anyway, getting to the point, I noticed exactly the same as you did, and the fact that the video when played back is ever so slightly jerky compared to the one i used to have. I looked into the prob and it's to do with the firmware version. I'm guessing yours is v 5.638. summat or other, 5.715 for the ME version is the same too. You need one with 5.616.2.0.3. None of these problems exist on this firmware or previous and in my opinion 5.616.2.0.3 is the best one. Video playback of recorded mp4 vids is seemless, and it's more noticable if you can directly compare the two, also you don't get that lag and white patches wen going through the menus. I was lucky enough to be able to swap my brand new one with my old one as the mother in law had inherited it off me and she just used it as a phone and was not fussed about swapping. (Of course i kept the brand new case, and just swapped the phone lol)

I am so glad someone else had noticed this, i thought i was just being fussy but its a real shame, nokia have spoilt an otherwise excellent phone by trying to progress pointless stuff and forgetting the basics. The n95 is another good example of this, each firmware version improves on some things and introduces new problems, i mean, come on!!! Whats the point??

hii .. can be solved by reloading the software into the phone?

and my version numer is V5.0705.3.0.1 30-01-07 RM-84... pls suggest me some thing.

Sorry, reloading the software will not sort it, the software version you have is the latest for the ME version. I'm not even sure what lower software versions exist for the ME one. I know that it is possible to downgrade the firmware of a phone to lower ones using software called pheonix but it is highly not recommended not to mention that the software is pirated and it will also invalidate your warranty.
If it's possible to return the phone do that, then look out for an older one second hand.
