N95 8GB any further release news?

I'm after one on o2 and would like to know when it is likely to be released....

I would also like to know if anyone knows of a quick way of transferring a message folder from my n73 (which includes mms/sns and notes) to my new N95 8GB.

I have heard a rumour from a friend at Nokia that the N95 8GB will only be released on Vodafone, 3 or as a Sim Free handset in the UK. With Orange, T-Mobile and O2 choosing not to stock it.

I really hope he is wrong, but it is certainly true for the other phone the N81 announced at the same time......see below

I'm not sure that is true. I spoke to someone on the phone from T-mobile and they said that they had had nokia reps in their building the week before talking about the N95 8GB. I hope to god T-mobile do release it because I'm coming to the end of my contract and want my retention deal!

O2 upgrades confirmed to me too, due on the 1st november on o2!!

Whoo.

Hope they do a good tariff deal. If I was getting the original n95 they do a good tariff.18 months-

1000 texts/mms combo

400 anytime mins (unfortunately o2 dont offer 08 numbers to be included anymore)

and unlimited O2 to O2 calls...
plus 1MB browsing.
Thats the tariff I want just doubt they will throw in a free N95 8GB like they would the original N95!

I sincerely hope you're right, but a couple of people have now quoted O2 reps as saying that they are "normal" N95s with 8GB micro SD cards.

I have also heard that Vodafone have got an exclusive deal on them until after Christmas.
