How to get Handmark Express?

8 replies · 2,987 views · Started 09 October 2007

Hi,

I have used for a long time Handmark Express on my E61i, downloaded from the Download menu of the device.
Now that I have the E90, I would like to keep using it, as I find their weather forecasts unbeatable, but also like the news section very much. However I can't find any installer anywhere. It is apparently also disappeared from the E61i's Download menu!!!! Although I have the app still installed on the E61i.
Any idea?

Is that what you are after ?

Yes, that is the one. Can you please tell me in which subfolders you see Pocket Express in the Download section? I have looked everywhere, and there is no sign of it.
Thanks.

That's odd as I can see it in the root folder of the Download App, between WorldMate and the Internet subfolder.

I did however pick up my E90 in Finland so it may be a different version (it certainly has a different keyboard layout) and it's may be that different versions see different apps in Download.

However if it's not there express(dot)handmark(dot)com(slash)eu_home(dot)htm might be it (haven't tried it myself though)

I am not sure what you did, I did not even get to see the name of the installation file. I just went to that website using the E90 browser, anc clicked the E90 link. And everything got installed perfectly.

Following your sugestion, I browsed directly from the phone and installed it right away.

I don't understand why I couldn't before because I usually download the software first to my desktop and then I use the transfer mode to copy the file to my 4GB memory and from it I do the installation.

This allways worked for me so who know's :con?

Your method of downloading to the PC first works with original Symbian (.sis or .sisx) setup files. When it comes to Java apps like this one, it often does not work. Not sure why though...
