emulate s40? for use with bluetooth handsfree (E50)

Hey all,

Excellent forum I found here!

I have a Nokia E50, that I use with my bluetooth handsfree system in my Seat Altea.
I can receive and send calls fine, however the phonebook and other functions don't work. It only works with S40 series mobile..

My question goes towards: Is there some kind of applet/applet that can emulate s40 on my nokia? Or is it to do with the bluetooth version?

As you can see from this list: ups, not allowed to post URLs. but google "altea bluetooth compatible list" and the first hit shows the list of compatibile devices.

It's only partly compatible, not with the extended features..

any ideas?

Put an S40 on S60 is not possible. You should only check for firmware upgrade of phone. If it�s not the solution, could have also some sort of firmware on that car... As the manufacturer for that.
If is on compatible list, should work.
