Why Cant the n95 access some Websites, what a shame!!

Hi everyone, i have just bought a new n95, and i know someone who has a 6120 classic.

This person managed to go to this website www . remotewakeup . com on his mobile phone, where as i could get to the site ok, but it was just a grey screen. I need to be able to have access to that site so i can remotely turn my computer on.

I have ruled out my network operator blocking the site, as i have tried with with the built in wifi, on the phone and it still doesnt work. This is most strange as my friend who has the 6120 classic can access the site just fine.

Another website i cant get working, is www . logmein . com, i can log in ok, but when i go to select my computer to try and remotely control it, it just freezes on the loading screen, my friend tried it with his 6120 classic, and he logged in ok, and was able to control his computer from his mobile, how cool is that.

I am really disappointed i cant access these two sites fully, and i dont understand why not.

Thanks.

I use logmein as well but it is flash based and the necessary flash version is not on N95 yet. It is on the way though and somewhere there is a link to sign up for the soon-to-be-released beta

I am 100% certain the problem i am having has nothing to do with the flash player installed on my phone, i am using adobe flash lite version 2.0, and my friend is using the exact same version, yet he can log onto both websites, so to me that says its not flash player related, besides that other website, www . remotelogin . com, doesnt use flash at all.

Although I don't have any way to use it to test, www.remotewakeup.com loads correctly on my N95 (V11). I noticed that ther was a grey screen initially though, in the history.. this could possibly be because it redirects to:
http://www.remotewakeup.com/en/index.php

www.remotelogin.com will definitely not work on any phone because it uses an ActiveX control - in fact, it didn't even work on my computer initially, since I wasn't using Internet Explorer (the only browser it will work with, bar some kind of unusual extensions).

Thanks Mithent, that seems to have worked, maybe because it redirected, it confused the n95.

As for remotelogon not working, it has worked on my friends 6120 classic, i will post some screenshots he took from his phone.

He used the same logmein ,as you would use on the pc version, i am still shocked that it worked for him, i wonder if anyone else with a nokia 6120 classic has also got logmein to work with that.

hey, just tried this,

set up free trial of vnc (For vista theres no free version) and configured a password.

installed vnc2go on N95 and entered my computers IP address, connects over network or wlan fine, and gives full control of the system.

At first it would not work, you must disable Optimized Buffering as this doesnt seem to work.

once connected, press * to change cursor modes, between 'arrow keys' , 'mouse' and something else i cant work out what it does.

Anyway, it works and should come in handy at some point!
