Please be kind to a newbe, I have just been given a N80 from my son and want to find what version it holds but when I type in #0000# it comes back with a message "Network not found". what am I doing wrong.

Many Thanks

PS want to upgrade to N80ie

Wirelessly posted (Sony Ericsson M600i: Opera/8.01 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/3.0.6560/1716; en; U; ssr))

*#0000#

You can also find out from Device Manager.

I moved my shortcuts around so much so I can't be sure...but, in mine it's: Menu -> Connectivity -> Device Mgr.

The Device Software is your firmware level.

HTH.

If all you wanna do is upgrade to IE then just plug your phone into NSU and off you go. (So long as theres an update available to your handset?) :icon14:
