Strange problem with my P990i

On Saturday night I sat my P990i alarm to wake me up at 6.45am Sunday morning (I had to watch the football - bloody time difference).
It ran out of battery during the night.
When I woke up (thankfully the cat woke me up in time) I recharged the phone.
But now I can't get rid of the alarm symbol next to the clock (lower left corner of the screen).
And when I click on time to check if any alarms has been set, then there hasn't.
I've turned the phone off, I've removed the battery, but it's still the same.
And more annoyingly. This morning (Tuesday), the alarm went off (at 6.45am).
I still can't uncheck the alarm times as it hasn't been checked.
No matter what I do, the alarm symbol is still next to the clock.

Hopefully my post makes sense.

Looks like you might need to backup and master reset.

2 caveats:
First, the reset will erase EVERYTHING, of course.

Second, SE's pc-suite-restore doesn't always work, so it's safer to use calendar-manager and contacts-manager to backup to memory stick and write off your messages and notes. You should also copy any videos, audio clips, QuickOffice data, etc. individually. You'll have to re-install all 3rd-party software and redo all settings.

Have fun.
