Hello All,

I've been reading the posts in this forum trying to find some help about how to uthenticate users through basic authentication for internet acces with ISA Server. I've allready configured the Wi-fi Acces Point with the proxy server IP Address and port, but I cannot find any place to put my username and password, and when I try to acces a web-site I get an error insted of of the authentication box.
All the posts I found here dind't have any answers for this, and they all were like years old, does it have a solution? I'm using a Nokia E61 by the way. Thanks in advance.

Hi
I have spent days looking for the any kind of answer to this problem. No luck. i do wish people would stop replying with, talk to your Admin or tech Support about this matter. our guys don't know the answer either.
So please, put me out of my pain, did you ever find how to put username and password in?

John

This is getting ridiculous! All the forums here about this end the same waywith people asking "is there a way to get through proxy server requiring authentication? Surely it must be possible?" But never is there an answer!

Just clarifying: while a couple of apps (Nokia's Browser and Opera Mobile, for example) offer you dialogue boxes to put in username and password when the proxy server requests authentication, most apps just timeout. We need something which intercepts these authentication requests and supplies themlike Authoxy does on a computer.

But nothing for Symbian, it would seem 😞
