Did another firmware update on a friends phone, same as before etc etc
Checked the phone after restoring the backup file I created and there were no contacts or any msgs, now I had a look around and found most of he contacts in the SIM directory, but there were still some missing (obviously ones that were saved onto the phone)
But my question is, why didn't the backup save these numbers, where did I go wrong with this?
Any ideas, thanks.:icon14:
I never trust the phone's backup tool. I use lifeblog to back up messages and copy the contents to the memory card by:
Open Contacts
Options > Mark/Unmark > Mark All
Options > Copy > To Memory Card
Then restoring them by going to
Options > Copy > From Memory Card
Yeah I'm not entirely sure what I did wrong, I had the settings on the copier set to copy all the contents from the phone memory, so it should of worked fine.
Its not a huge problem as there were only a few messages but the loss of a few contacts is a bit annoying.
Those weren't even there at the start I had to find them in the sim directory, it seems that nothing was even backed up really, as its copied everything from the sim.
Will give your suggestion a go next time, thanks
