Something went screwy on my voicemail yesterday - all calls went directly to voicemail without the phone ringing (despite the phone setting on ""if ananswered"😉 but I recieved no voicemails.
Vodafone sorted the problem out by putting me back to "old voicemail" on 121 instead of "new voicemail" on 242.
However, I now have the "tape" icon visible - and no outstanding messages. I assume that's because the phoen thinks I have a message on 242 - if I dial it I get unobtainable since my voicmail is now on 121.
Any idea how I can clear this icon ?
On the same note, my "1" button on speed-dial is configured to 242 but I don't seem to have the option to change that to 121
Any ideas here - have I missed an obvious setting ?
TIA
Hi,
Sounds like you've had some issues to deal with surrounding your voicemail service and may need some extra help.
If you send us an e-mail through our online Vodafone contact us form on our website and by going to the 'Help Centre', we can help. If you include the words FIT135 somewhere in the body of your e-mail, this will come to the forum team and we'll do our best to sort this out with you.

Simple fix: Call yourself and leave a voice mail and then retrieve it from your cell phone and delete it. The system should send a new icon removal prompt and all should be well.

Thanks - icon cleared, I just need to know how to remap the "1" key - I've put in a support request to Vodafone as Hopefullyuseful suggested.
Don't worry, E-series Blog has answered that one - the settting is in "Organiser" (Obviously !!!!!!!!!!!!!! - why can't that be in Phone settings?)
Hopefullyuseful - thanks - if you see my support request you can ignore it. But I'm delighted to see someone from Vodafone here - ESPECIALLY if you have an understanding of Symbian phones - sadly most of your colleagues don't
