Maps crashes phone when I access Network setting

I have tried re-starting the phone to no avail. I tried putting the phone offline but get the same crash. I enabled and disabled assisted GPS but again no change.

I searched the web and found an exact description in Australia of my problem but with no solution.

Good idea. I re-installed the Maps 1.0 update from the web (application looks a little different) and could then access the network settings. However, I tried the network connection again as I was getting a very slow fix and now the problem has returned exactly as before. I go to settings>network and it crashes.

I tried installing the Map application again but the problem remains.

Any other ideas?
