Maps crashes phone when I access Network setting

My Maps application on my Nokia N95 has just started playing up. To avoid data charges, I had had the network access set to never. Today I had problems getting a fix so I enabled the network access. This is done by going to Settings>Networks in the map application.

It did not help so I went back to switch it off. However, now when I click on networks it crashes the applciation and I get a dark screen followed by the white one with Nokia. The phone then re-starts after a while but sometimes gets stuck with partial screen. I then have to take out the battery to get it to re-boot.

In Maps, if I go to Settings>Routing or Settings>General, I can access the menus with out a problem. As soon as I go to Network the phone crashes. It is absolutely repeatable. I have tried re-starting the phone to no avail. I tried putting the phone offline but get the same crash. I enabled and disabled assisted GPS but again no change.

I searched the web and found an exact description in Australia of my problem but with no solution.

I am running the latest firmware
v12.0.013

RM159 Nokia N95 (66.01)

Good idea. I re-installed the Maps 1.0 update from the web (application looks a little different) and could then access the network settings. However, I tried the network connection again as I was getting a very slow fix and now the problem has returned exactly as before. I go to settings>network and it crashes.

I tried installing the Map application again but the problem remains.

Any other ideas?
