I don't know about trustworthy, but it sounds completely ridiculous. How can a RAM-hungry Java app save you RAM?

Typically Memory Doubler type programs compress files or programs when NOT IN USE and decompress them at load time.
The result is more free internal memory for storing files and programs but the SAME ram useage when the program is loaded.
so no actual effect on the speed of the phone then. ok thanks 😊

The launch time of a compressed program could be longer than for an uncompressed copy.
There's also somtimes a delay when shutting down an app, as these progrsm may re-compress the file.
