Dear all,
I'm planning to replace my current WM2003-based PDA running Tomtom 5 by N95 with Nokia Maps/Smart2go, and I have a few questions :
1. first, how does Nokia Maps/Smart2go compares to Tomtom 5 or later ? I read some reviews, but I'm looking for real-world feebacks 😊
2. I'm a bit afraid of entering the destination addresses using a telephone keyboard. How does it feel ?
3. I guess the interface of Smart2go has been design for the N95, but for those who tried, what about Tomtom ?
Thank you very much for your replies,
Aurlien.
1. Utter rubbish. And I was using the same as you, a PDA running TT5. Nokia maps doesnt seem to get addresses very well, and postcodes...forget it.
2. Fine, but that depends on you. If you can text, you can do this just as easy.
3. Cant answer you about that, as I havent used TT on the phone. However, if you do want to use tomtom, you will have to buy a seperate GPS reciver, as they do not yet support the internal GPS on the N95.
Strong rumour is that TT version 7 is due out this month or November, and its widely expected to be compatiable with the N95. So if you can, wait 😊
TT on the N95 is exactly the same as it is on the standalone products... and is definately the most 'user focussed' navigation system IMHO. 🙄
