Connecting Philips WACS7000 to N95?

There's a philps hi-fi with built in wifi that allows it to connect to upnp servers, i can connect to my computer very easily (wmp11 set up as upnp server) but cannot get it to recgonise the N95, is it possible? What could i be doing wrong?

The implementation of upnp on the N95 isn't particularly complete. The phone will act as a client, but not a full server.

You should be able to connect the N95 to your PC via upnp. You can then select content on the PC for playing. One of the playing options should be to play the selected content on the Philips device (assuming it's already connected to the upnp network).

So, less "upnp" and more "glorified remote control".

The N800 works properly in this respect, so it's not like Nokia aren't aware of how things should function on a upnp network.

Ok thanks for that, i'll give up trying then..

I was only doing it so i could demonstrate the functions at work (currys). Coincidentally i've got an N800 on order from play so i'll be able to do it then!
