I currently use MobiPocket as my e-book reader on my 9210 and realise this has a function to download "e-news" from the net and let me read it on my 9210. Unfortunately this requires me to use a windoze computer to download the aforementioned news and convert it to a file the e-book reader will use.
Are there any ways I can download the news to my 9210 by actually connecting to the net and downloading the data to my phone rather than use the aforementioned method, or spend ages online reading the news. The main news I'm interested in is TheRegister, but others are welcome.
I don't have a solution to Switchblade's problem. Instead I have a question: I suddendly realized I have a rather large file on my C-root directory. It's called 'C', size is 243907 and it dates to february 2002. When I open it, it leads me to Mobi Reader, which I have installed this january. What is this file? Do you have it? Can I delete it or move it ot D?
It could possibly where the auto news sync app sync's it's news to your phone when you connect it to the PC. This file can get quite large so I've disabled the program on my PC.
It could be yes. I was just puzzeled because of the date... didn't seem like recent news... And it doesn't have the pcr-extension (it doesn't have any extension as far as I can tell).
I haven't been able to figure out the sync business anyway. Does it do it automatically and if so, what does it do? Where is the sync-button? Is it linked to PC Suite somehow? Where does it store the file? C-root is not the best of choises...
I found the e-book news files from my PC under Program Files and manually moved one to my 9210 (somewhere on D). Mobi reader was able to find the file easily. But this was just a one time try, I don't think I'll be doing it much.
