Software update question

5 replies · 3,888 views · Started 24 October 2007

Good day Guys

I want to update the software in my phone yet the NSU software says there is "no update available and i am up to date", but i believe there is an update since i have not updated since i had it back in Feb.

My phones details are as follows
Phone Nokia N73 ME (i think's it ME, how would i tell?)
Type: RM133
Model: 731
Code: 0546349

Current software.
V3.0704.1.0.1
19-1-2007

Current phone operator
Orange

How do i find out if there is an update, as if i enter my 0546349 code onto the Nokia Website they say "Sorry, there is no software available for your product code" ???? Yet it's the code printed on the inside of my phone.

Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Cheers for looking

Dai

The N73ME has a black casing, the N73 is usually plum & silver.

The latest firmware for the N73ME is 4.0727.2.2.1, for the N73 it is 4.0726.2.0.1.

My phone was from Orange. It had a black casing but was actually a N73.

To get the latest firmware (which is a big improvement to what you have now) you will have to change your product code. Instructions for how to do this are in this link :=

http://thenokiablog.com/2006/11/28/how-to-update-original-nokia-n73-firmware-to-music-edition/

But, just a warning. If anything goes wrong you will lose your warranty.

Use product code 0537289 if you want N73ME, or 0527009 for N73.

Cheers for that bidboy, i did see somewhere a version 4.0736.3.2.1 would that be the same product code or are we looking at some other code

Cheers again
